Gladys Knight will sing the national anthem before Super Bowl 53.

The "Midnight Train to Georgia" icon says she's "proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta... The NFL recently announced their new social justice platform Inspire Change, and I am honored to be a part of its inaugural year."

She's the latest in a parade of pop legends who've sung the anthem at previous Super Bowls, including Cher, Neil Diamond, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Billy Joel. (CBS Sports)
