BOB MARLEY: Family Wins Suit Against Coffee Company

A federal appeals court upheld a 2017 decision in favor of the family that ruled that Jammin' Java continued to sell Marley-branded java after the license ended in 2016. Law 360 reports that the panel said a U.S. district judge was correct in ruling that the written terms of the agreement took precedence over an oral agreement between Jammin' Java and the companies that modified the royalty payment schedule.

The Marley companies were also awarded $371,000 in unpaid royalties.
