T.I. found himself in more legal drama, but this time overseas.
On Tuesday (August 3), the 40-year-old rapper took to Instagram Live, while apparently in police custody in Amsterdam, to let his followers know he'd been arrested after an incident involving his bike and a cop car.
โSo, Iโm locked up now,โ he began. โIโm obviously not supposed to have my phone as Iโm biking, and because the policeman ran into me and broke his rear view[mirror], and because I didnโt have my passport on me. I donโt know, itโll be fine.โ
โHe was extremely upset," Tip continued. "I, myself, was a great time. Iโm still not upset, Iโm having a phenomenal time. They arrested me and didnโt even put me in handcuffs. They just opened the door and invited me to the backseat. I obliged.โ
The Atlanta native, who is in Europe with his wife Tiny in celebration of their 11th wedding anniversary, went on to explain that he tried to post bail himself โwith a large wad of cash that he pulled from his pocket โ but the police officers wouldn't take it. He said he ultimately had to call someone to bring him his passport before he could be released.
โWeโre working on the buddy system out here, and I like,โ T.I. shared.
The "Live Your Life" rapper and his wife are currently being investigated in the U.S. over several allegations of sexual assault and drugging.
Since January, dozens of women have come forward with sexual assault claims against T.I. and Tiny. The couple, however, has denied the claims against them.
If you or someone you know have been affected by sexual abuse, please reach out to The National Sexual Assault Hotline: 800.656.HOPE (4673).
