Kourtney Kardashian Responds To Fan Backlash Over Disciplining Kids

Kourtney Kardashian has responded to the scandal from the Sunday (September 22) episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, where discipline for her and Scott Disick's 7-year-old daughter, Penelope, became the topic of discussion.

In case you missed the episode, Penelope scratched her nanny, resulting in the nanny's exit, and Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, said that he would "whip [Penelope's] a**," while at a family dinner that also included Jenner, Disick, Kim Kardashian and Jonathan Cheban. Disick blew up at Gamble over the comment, but the heat continued on via Twitter and Kourtney, 40, live-tweeted during the broadcast, admitting that she had anxiety watching this over again. "Exactly and let’s support each other knowing we’re doing our best," the star wrote in response to when one user who said that nobody should teach her how to be a mommy.

Despite the many folks that disagreed with Kourtney, she went on to admit that physical harm is not okay and will never be. In a follow-up message, she said that there are many consequences that don't involve physical harm for her three children. "Being a parent isn’t always easy, but we do have consequences that don’t involve physical harm," she added. "They’re children and she was clearly hurting inside so hurting her physically is not going to make anything better. How do we not know better by now?!"
